Dear Earth School Families & Staff:
We come to another end of the school year and I want to remind you of a few events. Our 8th year graduation is tomorrow, Thursday at 2:00. We congratulate our students as they complete their eduation at FMES/SFA. We send them off with best wishes, hope for success and we will miss them. Special thanks to the SFA Staff for their commitment to these students.
Remember: Field Day starts at 9:00, Friday with picnic at 11:30. Please connect with your Guide regarding the picnic. The children will be dismissed at 1:00. There is no MA Friday afternoon.
This year has been another “whirlwind.” So much has been accomplished – with the help of so many. During the years I’ve been the Head of School, my focus has been on listening to the community and working collaboratively to tackle immediate issues and identify priorities. FMES continues to be a deeply mission-centered, innovative school that focuses on changing the lives of our students and strengthening our community. We have added key positions and educators to help guide the school into the future.
It is a privilege to work with such a dedicated staff focused on the students. As we move ahead into our 40th anniversary year, with new initiatives, our children continue to be our first priority. Through them we invest in the future, and the world around us. One thing I am sure of is that when our students graduate, they carry with them the mission and values of our Franciscan Montessori Earth School.
Thank you for your continued engagement with FMES. I am deeply committed to this wonderful school, and optimistic about the future. Our students, families and staff are “REMARKABLY DIFFERENT” and are making a difference in society.
May you have a rest-filled summer with fun, relaxation and great family time. “May the Lord bless you, may He show His face to you and bring you peace.” We will see you in September.
Sincerely and with gratitude,
Head of School
