FMES maintains a 15,000 volume library filled with books to interest pre-school through 8th grade. Plenty of non-fiction and reference materials help students learn to research topics they choose themselves. Students begin visiting the library with their guides in Children’s House, and gradually gain independence.

The computer lab is also supervised by library staff. Older elementary students may search our library catalog, research databases, and the Web. They also create documents and practice typing. Groups are invited through the year for focused lessons on information technology topics.

Parents can check on their child’s borrowing through ParentsWeb. Search our library catalog below.

We also offer home access to Scholastic GO! for research projects. Most topics have articles that can be sorted by reading levels, and there are excellent suggested web sites that are frequently reviewed and updated.
