Welcome to March! Spring is almost here and this month is shaping up to be fun and exciting! Here are your updates & upcoming volunteer opportunities for this week:
Party Up at the Downs Auction: Only 17 more days till our annual auction!!! Melissa and crew have put together an amazing event and if you have walked by the Development Office lately, you will have noticed that some really fun things are piling up in front of Melissa’s desk. This is an evening you won’t want to miss, so make sure you get your tickets before they sell out!

Meet the Maker Event: Our annual Meet the Maker event will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the school. Mark your calendars and watch for more details in upcoming email blasts.
Spruce Room Needs Costumes!: Do you have any patriotic paraphernalia such as a Statue of Liberty costume, an Uncle
Sam costume, or a praying mantis costume (official insect of Connecticut!)?? The students in the Spruce Room (Lower El) would love to borrow them for their upcoming musical. Please email Mary Holland if you have any of these items available: mholland@fmes.org
FMES Children’s Choir: It’s not too late to join the FMES Children’s Choir! With a rockin’ live band performance, our students will have a blast — not only learning music, but experiencing music to the fullest in an incredible way! Students learn the value of collaborative musicianship in a fun-filled environment complete with part-singing and individual performance opportunities! Lower Elementary (Tuesdays) and Upper Elementary (Thursdays) both run for 11 weeks, from 3:30 – 4:30. The final performance on May 25th at 5:30 is one that you won’t want to miss!
Don’t miss out! Classes begin March 9th. ($119 or 2 payments of $60)
